David road races and he says; “I’m as nervous as hell about racing. I’m anxious until the moment I get on the bike, ride through the the pits, and to the start line. Once on my bike, nerves subside, my mind kicks into compete mode, and I am ready to race.”
That’s how it was for me the day I was interviewed on, The Christian Television Network.
On the way to the studio, David saw the stressed out look lining my face. So he gave me a pep talk:
“You’ve got this. It’s what you do. You just need to get on the bike.”
And so it was. My nerves rode around the racetrack of my heart. The makeup room, the greenroom, and going “on the set” gave way to anxiousness. I stepped into the studio, the producer slipped a microphone box down the back of my dress and clipped to the microphone to the front. There were conversations with many that I can barely remember.
But then it happened. The moment I stepped onto the stage, something clicked. I was ready to “race”.
Being on TV is like racing. It certainly gave my heart a good ride!
I thank GOD that I have a husband who loves me, and supports my every crazy adventure. David, you are my life line. Reminds me of the Scripture:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3.
So here it is, my TV interview, for all of you who requested it:
