There are three types of vision:
- Great vision
- Poor vision
- Lack of vision
No matter what the results of our eye test scores are, there’s one thing we all see the same: we perceive ourselves in the worst possible light. Others see the best in us, but we refuse to. Why?
Our great vision becomes poor living in a fallen world:
*You were picked on in school and to this day, you still see yourself as that rejected kid.
*Your past decisions have altered your self-perception as unworthy.
*You couldn’t pronounce a word while reading out loud and were teased. You’ve studied and become really smart, yet you can’t hear anything but others laughing at you.
*You were put down so many times that you believe you’re valueless.
*You’ve had so many difficult circumstances, you feel hopeless.
*Because you don’t fit in, you always see yourself as an outsider.
*No one ever told you that you are beautiful. You can no longer discern your true beauty.
*You’re still single, you must not be lovable.
*You feel forgotten, unseen, and believe you don’t matter.
Our world is broken, forcing us to see through shattered lenses. No wonder our self-image is distorted. We need to allow our “Service God” to guide and lead us.
Believing and receiving that you are SO much more than you can see.
Full of hope.
Part of God’s family.
Receive those words with me today.
And see through the eyes of Truth.
