I expected to learn comedy from a comedy workshop, but I discovered deeper things—life lessons that have lingered with me.
*You will never be more beautiful than you are, right now. You will only grow more beautiful.
*Simply share what you want to say without expecting something in return from your audience.
*I was afraid to have children because I feared I couldn’t love the way a child deserves to be loved.
My two week class was much more than learning about how to tell a joke. I discovered that I waste time, too much time, worrying about growing old. I’ve allowed my learning perimeters to shrink. (Apparently I wasn’t coachable.) Somehow, I still seek affirmation and approval from others. And, drumroll please…I made a life-changing decision based on a lie.
Yea, I thought I was learning comedy. Funny. I learned so much more.
