How do you respond to a challenge? Do you shrink back or do you take on a double-dog dare?
I always love a good challenge. “Watch me,” I say, or “I can do that,” I boast. If for no other reason, than to push myself out of my comfort zone.
Before I can tell you the Jericho Girls’ 111 challenge, I must first tell you how it came to be.
The numbers 111, 11, and 1 have appeared to me at various times, each day for the last several months. Over and over again they show up. I mean, it’s almost ridiculous how many times they appear to me every day. So I asked Google the meaning of these numbers (since she knows everything) and here’s what she said:
The number 111 Spiritual awakening, inspiration and a sign that a gate of opportunity is open.
The number 11 means turmoil, discord and chaos.
The number 1 symbolizes unity, oneness and perfection.
I gathered all my research and took it to my Jericho Girls who collectively have way more insight than Ms. Google.
“It’s a challenge, Dawna.”
I titled my head in question, “A challenge? How do you see a challenge in this?”
She smiled graciously, “Yes, a challenge to pray. True wisdom comes from God. If something is repeatedly before you, you need to take it to prayer, asking for guidance and wisdom. I say, we all gather in prayer at these times.”
Another Jericho Girl exclaimed, “Yes!” A challenge to pray is spot on. Years ago, I began praying for a friend’s son while she was on a retreat. She wasn’t allowed to have her cell phone at the retreat and was upset because she always prayed for her son at 11:11. Without her phone to alert her, she wouldn’t be able to pray at that specific time for him. So I offered to step in and pray for her son every day at that time while she was there. Incredibly, to this day, I still pray over her son at 11:11.”
As if in disbelief, I said, “Really?”
All of the ladies chimed in with excitement.
Through this conversation, The Jericho Girls have joined together to pray every day at 11:11 a.m. and 1:11 p.m. We’ve set our phone alarms at those times to remind us.
When our alarms go off at 11:11, we stop what we are doing and pray—for each other and for our loved ones. We pray our hearts desires. In our turmoil, discord, and chaos, we pray to the Father what we want, how we see it working out, and express our will.
Then when 1:11 comes around, we pray yielding prayers. Prayers that cry out, Not my will, but Yours be done. Aligning our hearts with His. A beautiful act of surrender, giving Him ultimate control in our lives in unity, oneness and perfection.
Yes, there’s a Spiritual awakening happening—a sign, 111—that a gate of opportunity is open. A chance—a moment in time that we can come together as one and simply pray.
We want you to join us in prayer.
So we challenge you…
Will you take the Jericho Girls’ 111 challenge? Set your phone to alarm at 11:11 a.m. and 1:11 p.m. and pray with us every day. How amazing would it be to unite as one in prayer? Together, we can shake the doors of Heaven—echoing prayers of the heart, yet yielding in oneness to His ultimate plan.
Are you with us? We double-dog dare you! Let us know that you’re taking the challenge.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace…
