Another early morning and I was tired of looking at the soaring eagle that flew across my computer screen. I needed something different today. I right clicked on the eagle and scrolled through pictures until one caught my eye. A profile of a stoic lion. Perfect, I thought. Up popped the massive lion head on my screen. Yes, I feel like a lion today.
Next, I went to my bookshelf for my morning read. My hand ran over an old, worn book. I was I drawn to it. Like reading braille, my fingers passed over the raised gold lettering, Marvels & Mysteries of Our Animal World.
Why was I drawn to it? Lifted from the shelf, I invited it to my desk. Opening to the first chapter, the book moaned as if I was tearing it’s pages. The title: The King’s Last Stand. A picture of a lion and his lioness. Magnificent.
My eyes beheld the beauty of the courageous beast. The descriptions of his majesty swirled in my head.

I have a leather bracelet with sliding letters on it that reads: FEARLESS. Maybe I should wear it today. There are times when I wear the bracelet and the letters separate. When I look down at my bracelet sometimes it reads; FEAR LESS.
Fear Less today, Dawna!
There will be days that I am like the fearless lion and others that I need to remember to fear less. Today however, I believe I’m being reminded to live like the fearless lion! I will be lionhearted. At least for today.
