And there I was. In front of the “Big Red Castle.” Such architecture, enriched with history. There were stories. If only this building could talk. I was mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the rugged red stone and massive walls towering up to the heavens. This landmark of history has harbored stories since 1893.
In June of 1929, Pillar of Fire, known as KPOF, was broadcasting a nonprofit religious itinerary on Sundays and during the morning hours each weekday.
The sign over the entrance now reads, Point of Faith. As I walk toward the building, breathing the brisk, icy cold February air, my footsteps make a crunching noise under the snow. I pause, and looking up to heaven I whisper;
Thank you God for this glorious moment in time. May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Today, I get to share my story over these old radio waves. But it really isn’t my story. It is His.
