o·ver·whelmed ˌōvərˈ(h)welmed/ (adj) (1) buried or drowning beneath a huge mass; (2) completely defeated; (3) inundated with too many things to deal with.
Yeah, we’ve all been there. Men and women alike. So what do we do?
Three ways to overcome overwhelmed:
- Breathe. So many times we forget to do this. God breathed into us the breath of life. Inhale life-giving oxygen. He will give you clarity and direction.
- Laugh. No matter what day-to-day challenges you face, try to discover a little funny. They say, “Laughter is good medicine.”
- Know. I mean, really know that you can’t do this on your own. You can only accomplish things through the mighty power of God.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.
