Thank you is not sufficient. When I think of you, my heart is filled with gratitude for your sacrificial service to me and the country I am so privileged and blessed to live in.
We are spoiled in America. We take freedom for granted. I in particular, live a sugary sweet life not known to real hardships or suffering.
A life that can’t understand the true meaning of sacrifice.
Sacrificing your time away from your families for me.
Sacrificing your hopes and dreams for me.
Sacrificing your lives for me.
No, thank you is not sufficient. A Facebook post, a meal purchased for you, nor anything that I could offer in return is adequate.
Men and women who serve our country, you are remembered. You are honored. Not just today, but everyday of the year. And I appreciate you more than you will ever know. You are indelible!
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:13 NIV.
