I get the most out of every moment and fill my time quite effectively. My motto is, “I can do it.” But sometimes I need a gentle reminder when I’m doing too much.
Yesterday, my Mother-in-law recognized signs that I was stretched too thin.
“Dawna, dear…I know ‘you can do it’ but you’re not going to.”
And just like that, she canceled our time together.
I love that she speaks wisdom into my life—gently removing things from my plate. She reminds me that it’s alright to let my schedule breathe. To erase. To leave open margins.
She told me, “you’re not going to.” So today, my planner from 2-4 has nothing written in it. Perhaps I should fill that space with nothing but God.
