“Why are you raising the bar?”
“Quit devising plans.”
“Just for today, no setting goals or striving for more.”
Some days, we’re simply called to rest. Isn’t that a great word? Meaning: cease work or movement in order to relax, refresh oneself, or recover strength.
But that’s tough to do when you’re driven, focused, and always wanting more.
But resting does something far greater—it allows us to exhale in His goodness—to taste and see that the Lord is good. Completely relying on Him builds our faith.
And in doing so, leaning into God and trusting in His plan, we want more—of Him—and nothing else.
Rest in His abundance.
The results will be this: you wanting more of what truly matters.
Are you allowing yourself the gift of rest?
You’re parting waters
Making a way for me
You’re moving mountains that I don’t even see
You’ve answered my prayer before I even speak
All You need for me to be is still
