I’ve been working on my second book for what feels like an eternity now. Painstakingly slow, each word forms sentences, and sentences become pages. There are times when I just can’t articulate what I’m trying to say, and the weeds of discouragement sprout up. Blowing my bangs out of my eyes, I think: I will never complete this. But then come the days when everything flows—I can’t type fast enough—and hope springs forth, blossoming anew in my heart.
Over the past two years of this emotional journey, I’ve felt the enormous challenge of writing this book. It’s been through two major theme revisions, yet it’s evolved into the work that I’ve come to love. Despite the huge task before me, I pull myself out of bed each morning to write.
I’ve had bigger obstacles to overcome than writing and completing a book: financial loss, caring for my sister, death of a loved one—each circumstance writing the pages of my story.
Perhaps your story started as a fairy tale, but turned into a tragedy. It could be that your autobiography began with hardship and now you are writing the pages of your success. Regardless, there will always be chapters that seem impossible to get through.
What seems insurmountable for you right now?
Is it the diagnosis you’ve just been given?
Are you a caregiver and overwhelmed with the task at hand?
Maybe it’s finances that has overcome you, and you just can’t see a way out.
Whatever your circumstance, know one thing: with Him you can be…
With Him you can be an overcomer.
With Him you can be an angel of mercy.
With Him you can be successful.
With Him you can be a writer.
Whatever mountain you face today, take the trek with Him. He might have you climb to the summit, or He could choose a path around the base. Regardless, know that your story is best written with Him.
And when you create it with Him, it will be a story that you come to love.
