When God changes the plan

I’d outlined my message for the interview, Ordinary People, Extraordinary Things podcast, with host, Nancy Bruscher.

The topic of discussion was relationships and marriage from my book, Free to Receive.

I’d prayed about my points and I was ready. I like unscripted, real conversations, but the morning of the interview, God changed the message. At first, I felt a surge of fear. I only had a couple hours before meeting Nancy. How would I prepare for a whole new message? I took a deep breath realizing, I had a choice to make; go with my plan or pursue His. 

I didn’t scramble to figure out all the details.

 I whispered, “You are so predictable.”

God is wildly unpredictable and that is predictable. 

When God changes the plan, trust Him.

So I left for the interview simply knowing a few main ideas for the conversation and trusting the Spirit would lead.
